My Annual Homage to the Lesbian Nude

two from long ago
How long since you had a date THIS good? Yeah, I thought so.

It’s time for me to go all lesbian nude on you again. I’ve decided to make this an annual event, assuming I remember to do it each year. In 2012, my post of lesbian nudes brought my blog traffic sky high for months. Apparently, that post is stuffed way down in a Google search, so I need to revive the theme and win back readers.

Some people may land on my blog post looking for porn and leave disappointed, but you’d be surprised how the lure of the nude lesbian draws them here and yet they find other posts that interest them. Not everyone who looks at porn is a pervert. Some of them really do read as well as look at the pictures. Sometimes tastefully done porn can be a great way to get things started. I’m being purposely vague.

In posting the pics that follow, I attempted to find images that were suggestive and not blatant. I find the suggestion of what might happen more titillating than actually seeing the act in progress. I mean, unless it’s happening in person, and then, of course, I like to see the act as well as participate. TMI. I will move on.

Two women standing
You can’t see any details here, but it’s pretty sexy. This is what I’m talking about.

If you’re reading this and don’t like the idea of seeing nudes, maybe this won’t be so bad since it’s not blatant. If you’re reading this and expecting some hard-core porn to show up, go back to your Google search because this isn’t it, but thank you for the hit and for contributing to my blog traffic.

Okay, let’s go down on it, I mean, let’s get down to it. (Oh, that was just a cheap attempt at humor.)

Like it or not, lesbians have been around for a long time, longer than you and me, and longer than The New Testament. Let’s see if mentioning The New Testament in a blog about nude lesbians brings me a whole new reader demographic – the ones who want to fix me. Well, I don’t deny I need fixing, but not because I love women.

Hopefully, you’ve all heard of the lesbian poet Sappho, and the Isle of Lesbos. If not, look it up. Okay, stay here: Sappho was an ancient Greek poet who loved women. I’m sure there were cave women lesbians doing it while their Neanderthal cave-mates were out hunting wild boar, but Sappho is the oldest famous lesbian I know. Lest you be disappointed because Sappho has all her clothes on in the first rendering, and this is an homage to nude lesbians, I give you a second rendering of the Greek lesbian poet or the Greek poet lesbian or the lesbian poet Greek – how you order the words may depend on what’s most important to you.

This is Sappho and Erinna. I have no idea who Erinna was/is, but she seems to really dig Sappho. Who wouldn’t dig a hot poet?
Nude Sappho
Words by order of importance 1. nude 2. lesbian 3. poet 4. Greek. This is Sappho, my friends, hot in the 7th century BC  and hot today.

Here is another rendering of “old-time” lesbians, but I don’t know if this is really an old photo or if this was posed. If you know, let me know. In any case, the point is made again: women have loved women through the ages.

Who wants to get dressed up like this with me and go on a date?

As a white woman, I don’t experience racism. I will tell you, however, I got a taste of it when searching for “artful” or “tasteful” lesbian images of women of color. Mind you, most of what I found was porn of all colors, including white, all geared toward the titillation of men. But I barely have any women of color represented here because I found few that were suitable. Not to go all political on you, but that means that women of color are still portrayed in nudes mainly to serve as the play things of men – and that’s very alarming. By the way, the same holds true of overweight women or women in middle age: you can’t find anything lesbian and artsy (unless you are to buy actual artwork). It’s all trashy and exploitative. I have no overweight women here. Or middle aged women. This, too, is very alarming. You know, it’s 2013, assholes, get a clue.

Black and white

Aside from the politics of color and weight and age, let’s get back to the fun. The pic called “Kiss” has become iconic in our society. I remember seeing it years ago

Lesbian_Sexy_Black_Hot_Nude_2228and thinking it was hot. Now I see it and think: Geez, look how young and skinny they are.

Ah, beautiful baby dykes. When did they go from being sexy to making me think they could be my daughters. I don’t mean that to sound weird, and yet it does.

I think the next one is my favorite. I love the setting, I love the suggestiveness, both the beach and the women are hot. If I were there, I would read Sappho to my date:

This is what I call an awesome 2nd date. Okay, 3rd date. Okay, 4th date. OKAY, an awesome FIRST date.

I have not had one word from her

by Sappho

Frankly I wish I were dead
When she left, she wept a great deal; she said to me, “This parting must be endured, Sappho. I go unwillingly.”

I said, “Go, and be happy
but remember (you know
well) whom you leave shackled by love

“If you forget me, think
of our gifts to Aphrodite
and all the loveliness that we shared

“all the violet tiaras,
braided rosebuds, dill and
crocus twined around your young neck

“myrrh poured on your head
and on soft mats girls with
all that they most wished for beside them

“while no voices chanted
choruses without ours,
no woodlot bloomed in spring without song…”

–Translated by Mary Barnard

I would have dated Sappho, for sure.

  1. As an art major, which feels now like it was a thousand years ago, I had to take the required Figure Drawing class. Keep in mind that at this point in my life’s journey, I had not yet realized/accepted that I was a lesbian. During the class we had both male and female models, and strangely enough (to me) the compositions of the female subjects always turned out much better than the male compositions. Not just by a small margin… a massively “holy crap, thats good!” margin. I should have been paying attention to how well I paid attention. There were some beautiful renderings (if I do say so myself), and it occurs to me now that I have read your post, that beautiful forms that speak to us in ways that others do not have an impact on our creativity. Simply put, we are better artists when exposed to porn. Well, that’s my story and Im sticking to it.

    • Hi Kristina,

I like your story and I’m glad you’re sticking to it. I think there are levels of porn. In my searches, I’ve found some porn where the subjects don’t look happy and it feels as if they’re being exploited. This is usually more true of women subjects than men, but sometimes men. Then there is a level of porn that is more explicit than what I’ve posted here and it looks like consenting adults having fun, so I don’t have a problem with that. Then there is a level of porn that might be labelled “obscene,” and that, from my perspective, involves child pornography and any adult pornography where it’s apparent that the subjects are not enjoying the activity.

      That’s my story. 🙂

I agree that porn can help us to see things differently, especially if we are creative. I an wondering if you have any of those renderings from your college days. I’d love to see some. Maybe you could scan them?

Thank you for reading my blog, Kris, and for your interesting and thoughtful response.

  2. You do humor and politics with the best of them my friend. For what it says about me: I haven’t made it to your blog in a while (not out of lack of wanting to read, simply out of lack of time), but I got to this one. Which all goes to say…probably good to make this an annual thing. 🙂

    • Thank you for making it to my blog, Erika. Even once a year is fine with me. I understand how busy you are. I know, too, that you just come for the pictures, hahaha. Really, I appreciate your time and your kind words. 🙂

  3. Hello, I am Paul aka wellendowedpaul. I just happened to come across your website. And I am ecstatic that I did. I enjoyed perusing. I realize what you stated regarding color, middle age, overweight. But I enjoy viewing all women, but particularly women of color, to me, it is a turn-on. I prefer bisexual women, have dated a couple bi females (never argue with bi women and always get along with bisexual women, MUCH BETTER than a straight woman, as I have always had some type of argument with straight women; bisexual women are the best…in everything), and I encourage women to express freely, rather in regards to sex or whatever. I am for womens rights, and minorities’ rights, and many other “rights” (i.e. rights of seniors, children, disabled, GLBT). (*I don’t understand men who have a bi girlfriend and get jealous if she has her own girlfriend, that makes no sense, why date bi?) And whether 2 bi women or 2 lesbian women together, I love seeing two women together. I enjoy your webpage here, and the photos, and especially the composition of what you stated. (Personally, at the moment in time, I have no GF. But I am looking for a bisexual women, prefer black, but not necessary. As long as she is bi). Let me wish you and your readers, VERY HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Thank you for allowing me to comment, and bye for now. If you’d like to keep in contact or reply: my email is: wellendowedpaul@yahoo.com.
